Week 3

It is heating up. It gets harder and harder for me to put the book down. I can not believe how Blomkvist has duped the "Section," for so long. It took them three days before the trial to figure out that Blomkvist and company may be giving them misleading information! Again, as I said in the last post... I love how Blomkvist is always two steps ahead of EVERYONE else.

There are so many characters right now, that sometimes it is hard for me to keep them straight, really it's just those new characters that keep popping up for the "Section," that I struggle with. Once I think I have got them figured out, they add another one in there, and another one. But one name that has not come up at all is Neiderman. I wonder if they are going to catch him, or if he just "gets" away. (I remember Aunt Joyce saying something like there were supposed to be more books, but Larsson passed away, I wonder if the next one would have been about Neiderman).

I am glad Salander finally is telling her story straight and to the point, I hope she gives everybody access to the video of her rape, so as to solidify what she is talking about. I am also glad that Salander let by gones be by gones and gave Berger help in her stalker. I still hope there is more to it, than just a high school kid who held a grudge. I want it to somehow tie into the whole story.

I do like, though, how all the parts just work together... Salander, Dr. Jonasson, Blomkvist and Millenium, Berger, and Armansky and Milton Security, and let's not forget Salander's cyber friends. It doesn't matter what they are doing they are all working together... Whether it is with Salander's situation, or Berger's stalker, or whatever.... they are a force to be reckoned with.

I can not wait to find out the conclusion, I want the Section to get exposed for EVERYTHING!!!! And, I really want, of all of the people, Dr. Teloborian to get CRUSHED... out of all the people working for the "Section" he is the one I hate the most. Anyways, happy reading... almost there.

What's our next book, now that we are done with the series?

  1. Thanks to Blomkvist, Salander is finally able to take control over her situation even though she is in a hospital under strict watch. I love how that worked out with Blomkvist, Dr. Jonassen smuggling in her palm and the wireless access through the batery operated phone planted by Ghidi. They're clever people and all willing to get to the truth and help out Salander. And yes, of everybody, it is great that she has her cyber friends that are willing to step
o up and help out with their skills.

I was proud of Salander when she decided to help out Berger. It's scary for Berger to have someone sabotage her so much. I would freak out had that happened to me. And that it was Peter Frederickson who was the stalker!!! Someone Berger thought was in her corner.

Was glad that Blomkvist is working with Eklind and Monica to get to the bottom of the Section secrets.

You're right, Jen, it is soooooo hard to put the book down cause the plot gets so intricately convaluted. Does that even make sense? In either case, it is a good read and moves at a great pace. You're right about the characters being inserted into all of this. It gets confusing but I take notes to keep them straight. It's the only way.

Let's see what the last part brings together. I know that Blomkvist's sister will need to do the defense on Salander and whether the tape of the rape gets shown will be revealed (I hope).

Don't know waht we should read next. Do you want a book with a lighter tone like the one we started out with or do we want another thriller. I can send you some suggestions on various books and you can decide on which one we might want to tackle next.

You're doing so well, juggling nauseous mornings, trips, tutoring, teaching, scrapbooking and still doing the book club. You're an amazing woman!!!

  2. A side note - I agree with you about Teleborian. He's such an egotistical no good fraud. I hate him, too, especially cause he is so crooked and so many innocent kids get caught up in his schemes and are hurt by his superficial diagnosis. Salander, a case in point.
