WOW!!! So much to talk about!!!!!
Why, really, do you think Blomkvist didn't say anything about the attack in the park???? I mean, I see that he is doing it for Salander's privacy. But if Blomkvist, in retrospect, would have said something, it might have stopped this downward spiral that is going on.
My next question is, do you think there is a connection between Bjurman's murder and Dag and Mia? Did Salander do it?
I have a few theories on what might have happened.. My first is that, Salander was just THERE when Dag and Mia got murdered, and in fear she just ran away. I do think she may have had something to do with Bjurman's murder, because she linked the connection of what happened to her in the park with Bjurman.\
My second theory is maybe she did do both.. Highly unlikely.
My third theory is somebody is trying to frame her for all three. I definately think the blonde giant might have something to do with all of it. The killer of Dag and Mia killed them because of what they were going to expose. Somehow this killer was linked to Salander and in turn Bjurman. Could all the connections seep back to "when all the bad happened." I don't know.
Do you think it is good that all of these other parties are getting involved in the investigation... In addition to the police, we have Milton Security, as well as Millenium. Which ones are going to get it right? And in the end does it really matter? I think that Millenium will get it right.... but maybe they get it right a little too late. Or maybe the police won't listen. It seems like right now, the police have one thing in their head, and that there could be no other possibilities of the killings than Salander.
Should Millenium release the book and the articles? I think Yes and Yes. I know it may be in poor taste, but really, I truly think that the killings were in direct relationship with the people that were going to be exposed. If they do not release the books and the articles, then there death and what they were doing in their life will all go for naught. That one is for sure a no brainer.... Release the book... Let the whole world know what was going on.
Well what do you guys think...

Geez, I did it again. I typed in a comment and instead of using the post comment icon, I used sign out. Which, of course, erased all I wrote.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, glad you updated. I did comment on Week 1 regarding Week 2 if you can backtrack to it and see my comments.
The one item I neglected and didn't think of (which you did) was the attack on Salender which Blomkqvist witnessed. You're right, if he had reported it to the police, they could see there were other factors in play as far as Salander was concerned. On the other hand, he was trying to abide by her principles which was no authorities involved in her personal life. He would leave it up to her to report it if she wanted. I don't understand why he kept her purse. He could have returned it to her.
Anyways, go back to week 1 and see the rest of my comments.
Great book isn't it?
Well, I'm keeping up this time although my night rest is suffering a bit but then it is too good to put down. I too feel that Salander is being set up and I know she doesn't trust authorities BUT I wish she'd somehow tell Blomkqvist some solid clues as to who she thinks it is. Does look bad for her since she was the last to see Dag and Mia alive and yet there was no personal reason for her to shoot them unless she found out something about them that we haven't been privvy to yet. And here I thought that Svensson might have been a shady character. I also don't think Salander killed Bjurman although there isn't any loss on her part. Got the feeling that she still had more to gain from him being around. There must have been a bigger connection with Bjurman and Zala. Wish someone would find out more on what a scumbag Bjurman is. It was surprising that Blomqvist didn't do more with Salander's attacker in spite of how private Salander is. People seem to be so protective and private about Salander, including Salander herself. She's being set up and I hope she begins to trust Blomquist more. I give her credit to do so much for her former guardian Palmgren - maybe he will surface to her defense. All that money though, that she seems to be "getting" is going to catch up on her because of the legalities. People will view that as yet another criminal act. Wonder if Mirriam Wu will vouch for her character. I'm getting frustrated with all the "officials" who are trying to find Salander and not thinking of the possibility that it may be someone else, seems everything is too nice and neat to point towards her guilt. Don't trust some of Milton's people or other "investigators", appears they are also out to get Salander - they've made their opinion of her as a messed up character and that she must have done the murders since she is capable of it. Wondering when Blomkqvist and Armansky will connect with Salander to help clear her name or willing to risk their reputation to vouch for her character. Does seem difficult though since she is full of contradictions.
